Life rarely moves in straight lines – just ask our national sporting teams after this past weekend. But wow… did they deliver! Not only on the scoreboard, but in guts, grit, heart and pure determination. Strength in all its forms. Strength that inspires.
And yes as South Africans we love to win. We celebrate, we complain, we analyse, we shout at the TV… but when it matters most, we rise. Every time.
Just look at these weekend performances across our sporting spectrum:
Bok Women’s Sevens – African Champs again, defending their title without conceding a single try.
⚽ Bafana Bafana – victory over Zambia.
Proteas Test Champs – beating India with class and consistency.
♂️ Rayno Nel – crowned the 2025 SCL World Champion with a Hercules-level performance.
The Springboks – down to 14 men, still took Italy to school.
This is strength.
Strength draws people in.
Strength earns respect.
Strength rewrites the story.
Strength is what South Africans are made of ~ individually powerful, collectively unstoppable.
We connect through resilience.
We belong through courage.
We honour what built us.
And when adversity arrives, our lungs fill with belief… and we exhale strength.
As we settle into November, Taggers – set your intentions:
Finish strong, without forcing the pace.
Honour everything you’ve built this year.
Channel energy into what truly moves the dial.
Make room for creativity, rest and reflection.
Maybe the final stretch of the year isn’t about “fixing everything.”
