IATA’s Director General Willie Walsh has raised concerns over the potential jet fuel shortages which could lead to cancellations in Europe by the end of May with disruptions already being seen in parts of Asia.
He said: “Along with doing everything possible to secure alternative supply lines, it’s important that authorities have well-communicated and well-coordinated plans in place in case rationing becomes necessary, including for slot relief.”
