SA – Cape Town fires are contained. Several historic buildings & tourism attractions destroyed. The Cableway is closed & visitors are urged not to visit Newlands Forest, Groote Schuur Estate, Rhodes Memorial, Devil’s Peak, Tafelberg Road, Vredehoek & Deer Park sections of the park for now. Safe visiting areas incl. South & Central sections of the park, which includes Silvermine, Tokai, Boulders & Cape Point

BA’s SA routes – suspension btw London & SA continues. The Jhb route is now suspended till June 1 & the CT route up to July 1
France – finalising plans to lift restrictions for Fr. & US citizens. From April 24, Fr. or EU citizens arriving in France from SA, Brazil, Chile or Argentina will need a negative PCR test result, taken within 36 hours of arrival, will be subject to antigen tests on arrival & have to quarantine for 10 days under police surveillance.
Philippine – hospitals struggle as severe COVID-19 wave hits
