IATA leads calls to scrap remaining Covid-19 rules in Europe. This includes all testing requirements, the need to present proof of vaccination or complete a passenger locator form.
The organisations also want to see mask-wearing scrapped for travel within or between states where it is no longer required in other indoor environments.
As European countries open up and remove restrictions, it is only logical to remove similar restrictions from air transport.
Now can SA govt do similar, lift restrictions, end PCR entry testing and lift state of disaster that ends today right??

Comair grounded for a third day with the indefinite suspension by the SACAA of its operating licence until such time as the CAA has had time to review & satisfy itself that the items it has raised are closed. The airline is engaging with CAA to have the suspension lifted asap.
Kenya sets the record straight on PCR tests. The current entry requirements for travellers to the East African nation remain unchanged. Arrivals must show proof of vaccination & a negative PCR test conducted within 72 hrs prior to departure.
Ireland moves on from covid. No PCR testing, no quarantine, no passenger locator form. Applies for vaccinated & unvaccinated travellers.
Med cruises make a confident comeback! Greece & Italy are welcoming South African travellers back to their shores.
Air Astana has resumed its twice-weekly service from London Heathrow to Nur-Sultan yesterday.
Flights from the capital of Kazakhstan will operate on Sats & Weds. The flight arrival into Nur-Sultan offers convenient onward connections to Tashkent in Uzbekistan & Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

Abu Dhabi begins tourism reopening as recovery continues. Green list system has been removed; fully vaccinated inbound travellers no longer need to take a PCR test before boarding their flight. Unvaccinated inbound travellers will still need to present a negative PCR.
UK Heathrow Airport – Effective from Wed 16 March, will remove the requirement for wearing face coverings at the airport.
