President #Ramaphosa: Accordingly certain transitional provisions will remain in place for a period of 30 days after the termination of the National State of Disaster to ensure essential public health precautions and other necessary services are not interrupted.

🗣#CyrilRamaphosa:
All state of disaster measures fall away at midnight. But for the next 30 days the following transitional measures will stay in place:
1.  Wearing of face masks in indoor public places (no masks outdoors).
2. Restrictions on gatherings will stay for 30 days:
– in+outdoor 50% of venue’s capacity can be filled, if proof of vax/negative COVID tests = provided for entrance
– if no proof of vax/negative test: restrictions = 2000 outdoors, 1000 indoors
3. For entrance into SA:
– Proof of vax or negative PCR tests results no older than 72 hours
– If someone arrives without a test or proof of vax, they will be required to do antigen test on arrival, if +, they will need to isolate for 10 days
4. The R350 disaster grant will remain in place as part of the 30-day transitional measures
5. All other state of disaster regulations fall away, including alert level 1, the criminalisation of people who don’t adhere to pandemic measures, public transportation rules, special rules for initiation practices
6. The no fault compensation scheme for vaccination will outlive the state of disaster, and will only be terminated once it has achieved its purpose.
