US – The United States no longer requires air travellers to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test before entering the country. Non-citizens who are non-immigrants and seeking to enter the United States by air must show proof of full vaccination, according to the CDC.
Canada – suspends testing on arrival. From June 11 to June 30, incoming vaccinated travellers will no longer be selected for random testing. Unvaccinated passengers will be subject to testing when landing in the country.
Thailand – decriminalises cannabis. Thailand has become the first country in Asia to take marijuana off its list of banned substances, and to allow people to grow the plant at home, reports ABC News Australia. The Thai government hopes the change to the law will boost the wellness and tourism industries.
Puerto Rico – lifts COVID testing regulations for vaccinated passengers
Bangladesch – The Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is believed to be the first international airport in South Asia to launch an Automatic Border Control System (e-gate). Allowing travellers who hold e-passports to pass through immigration in 18 seconds.
Taiwan – will reduce mandatory quarantine for all arrivals from seven to three days, starting from June 15

China – Heavy rain has left portions of central and southern China dealing with floods and landslides this week
Singapore – Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 is set to reopen in September
Delta – unveils new LaGuardia home, with the opening of its new Terminal C. The terminal will be the centralised area for check-in, security and baggage claim for all Delta travellers. Terminal C also features Delta’s largest Sky Club lounge.
Japan – has partially reopened for tourism. The government has announced that foreign nationals entering Japan for a short-term stay for tourism are now permitted, as of June 10. Chat to TAG agents about updated entry regulations & rules.
