UK – TUI flights from Manchester Airport are expected to be cancelled this month. In a statement, TUI has said it would cancel around 43 flights a week between now and June 30. These include flights to Mallorca and Croatia.

SA / Ryanair – no reversal on test. Ryanair has told the BBC that it had no intention of stopping its requirement for South African passengers heading to and from the UK and Ireland on a Ryanair flight to take an Afrikaans test in order to board. Ryanair’s contention is that it requires all South African passport holders to prove their nationality. The airline says it’s a high prevalence of fraudulent South African passports that is behind the requirement for the test.
Ivorian carrier, Air Côte d’Ivoire – plans to open a new route between its capital, Abidjan, and Johannesburg on June 29. The airline says it will introduce four flights a week via Kinshasa.
This will give travellers from SA access to Air Côte d’Ivoire’s destinations.
LATAM – resumes domestic routes in Peru and Brazil as operations improve. The group will also begin operations between Puerto Maldonado and Cusco, Peru, whilst resuming three routes from Belém to Macapá, Fortaleza and Manaus in Brazil.
New Zealand – Christchurch is set to welcome business events professionals from across New Zealand & Australia to sell-out industry exhibition, MEETINGS 2022. The two-day event on runs 15 -16 June will showcase 211 stands from 18 regions of NZ to 110 Australian & 300 domestic event organisers.
