#iata slams BRU night flight ban
It says the proposed plan to limit night flights at Belgium’s BRU would breach the international obligation to the Balanced Approach to Aircraft Noise Management, which says implementing airport curfews should be a last resort & that it is premature. The move could have many negative effects, as it would not only restrict arriving and departing aircraft at BRU, but also hurt the Belgian economy due to its dependence on growing long-haul African routes and time- or temperature-sensitive cargo transportation.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launches its latest route to Erbil, the ancient capital city of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq. The new route reaffirms the airline’s commitment to carrying the flag of ultra-low-cost travel in the region and unlocking an eclectic mix of travel opportunities for both residents & visitors of the UAE. Flights to Erbil will commence on 06 October and will operate twice a week on Monday and Friday.

Iberia Joins British Airways and Qatar Airways to Expand the World’s Largest Airline Joint Business covering more than 60 countries. Beginning in July, Iberia is joining the partnership in a move that will transform connectivity for global travellers.

Emirates’ latest initiative allows customers to preorder their hot main meal from 14 days to 24 hours prior to their flight. The service is initially being rolled out in business class on flights between Dubai and Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted airports.
