“Race weekend started on the back foot after having my first crash off my bike on Friday afternoon while testing my bike .I knew it wasn’t going to be easy racing these Europeans, but training has been going well and I knew I had it in me.
Very happy with my swim and numbers on the bike. The race was almost perfect until the last lap on the run.
Going into these races I wanted two podiums so finishing 3 minutes behind second is a bit of a tough pill to swallow. But I’ll come back hungrier like always.
Time to heal up and we go again in two weeks time!” – James Gerber
