🚆 New Winter Night Train -The Travelski Night Express will link Paris directly to three ski resorts: Moutiers, Aime & Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Will connect Paris to the French Alps from December 19, 2025, until March 20, 2026.
🚆 Amtrak will launch a new twice-daily intercity train service between New Orleans & Mobile starting in the summer. The Amtrak Mardi Gras Service, travelling along the Mississippi Gulf Coast offers morning & evening departures from New Orleans and Mobile.
🚆 Poland’s national rail operator, PKP Intercity expected to launch a direct service from Warsaw to Rijeka, Croatia, from July 1, to boost tourism between the two countries. The proposed route includes stops in Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia & Croatia.
🚆 Taiwan Railway Tours & LION Travel launched a luxury dessert train to redefine the afternoon tea experience. The Heifeng Train is Taiwan’s first dessert-themed train with pastel-colored carriages, panoramic ocean views & Michelin-starred desserts.
🚆 Turkey – Trains between Istanbul & Erdine suspended today, May 12. Train stations in Tekirdağ may also experience disruptions. Passengers advised to use alternative transport during this time.
🚆 Portugal – train strike likely to continue today, up until May 13.

Switzerland – The Eurovision song contest is taking place in Basel this week May 13-17, expectant price hike in accommodation. The city expects about 50 000 tourists to visit Basel during the week. Travellers should anticipate large crowds in the city and busy airports and train stations
