Not all heroes wear capes…
Some wear speedos, brave icy waters and swim across the English Channel in September — all to change lives through education.
This is no ordinary swim.
This is 34 km of cold, unforgiving waters.
This is navigating one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
This is mental grit, physical courage and a heart filled with purpose.
And this is the extraordinary challenge accepted by Simon Wilkins, a man with a cause far greater than himself.
Gratitude. Admiration. Awe.
Simon and Natalie have stood beside our TAG Foundation for years — loyal supporters, quiet changemakers and true believers in our mission. Their generosity, commitment and faith in our young scholars have helped us go further, dream bigger and build a brighter tomorrow.
We are deeply moved and honoured that Simon has chosen to take on this epic personal challenge in support of our Foundation.
“We should certainly count our blessings, but we should also make our blessings count.”
~ Neal A. Maxwell
Why This Matters:
In a world that can often feel chaotic, Simon reminds us that hope swims stronger. With each stroke, he’s cutting through the noise, replacing despair with possibility.
Every kilometre brings us closer to another King Edward VII School TAG Foundation Scholarship recipient empowered, another life changed, another ripple in a sea of transformation.
