Cape Town International Airport has officially soared past 11 million passengers for the first time, marking a major milestone for Cape Town and the Western Cape.
Key 2025 highlights (ACSA data) include:
✅ 11.1 million two-way passengers (domestic & international).
✅ 3.3 million international two-way passengers – up 7% year-on-year and a new record.
✅ Domestic travel also grew 7%, reaching 7.8 million passengers.
✅ December 2025 set a new festive season high with 1.12 million two-way domestic and international passengers.
✅ Air cargo volumes increased by 42% in the first 10 months of the year.
This growth reflects the Western Cape’s momentum towards its goal of doubling tourism by 2035 – driving economic growth, strengthening competitiveness and creating jobs across the province.
