UK – Strike on Elizabeth Line cancelled
Portugal – Strike action called by the Union of Investigation, Inspection and Borders Inspectors is expected to run throughout May and June at Portuguese airports and border posts
Portugal – Tourist tax in Olhão, a popular destination in the Algarve, will be the third municipality in the region to charge a tourist tax after Faro and Vila Real de Santo Antonio
France – France has officially banned domestic flights where the destination can be reached in two and a half hours by train. This means flights between Paris and regional hubs such as Nantes, Lyon and Bordeaux are no longer operational, unless there are flights with a high share of connecting passengers.

US/Canada – Air quality warnings for US. Smoke from the wildfires in Alberta and northern British Columbia has reached several US states, impacting air quality and visibility as far as New York and North Carolina
