TAG Foundation

Touching Hearts. Changing Lives. Thankful Thursday.

TAG (Travel Assignment Group) warmly welcomes Themba Mpemvu and Katleho Mpemvu to our Learnership Programme.

Katleho “Kat” Mpemvu joined us in April and has settled in well at TAG HQ in Hyde Park.

Kat is a sports fanatic (his own words) and matriculated from King Edward VII School (KES) last year and was proudly a #tagfoundation recipient. A talented sportsman in both athletics & rugby, he is actively pursuing those talents, currently playing and competing. After sports, his next fave hobby is reading.

Kat has a keen interest in Law, Accounting and Finance and and trusts into the future, his career journey will unfold in one of those areas.

“TAG has done so much for me. From putting me through KES, through the TAG Foundation, and now giving me this opportunity even after high school. I was planning to take a gap year this year due to financial problems (not being able to pay for tertiary) but TAG provided this opportunity to me to avoid me just sitting around and doing nothing. This learnership is a great opportunity to learn and widen my perspective and get a sense of how the working world is. This means so much to me and I am grateful to be given this opportunity.” ~ Katleho

Themba “Mtimbana’ Mpemvu joined TAG this week & we’re pleased to have him on board. Also proudly a KES Old Boy, Class of 2016 and TAG Foundation recipient.

Themba has a great zest for life and it shows in his enthusiastic manner and passionate attitude. Staying fit, healthy, and taking care of his wellbeing is important to him. Hitting the gym, playing rugby and football are all part of his daily programme.

His future career ambitions & vison include him been a part of the corporate and financial sector. With his love for numbers, he trust it will ‘all add up in the end’!

“TAG has played an immense role in my schooling career which has moulded me to the fine young gentleman I am today. I’m very excited to be joining the TAG learnership programme. I’m looking forward to learning & overcoming any challenges & opportunities that might present themselves.” ~ Themba

The second image is a ‘Letter of Thanks’ from David Lovatt to TAG Foundation founders Jonathan Gerber & Traci Gerber.

“Thanks so much for your kind words Mr Lovatt.  We love what we have built and TAG Foundation honestly “fills my cup”.

It is the best thing we have ever done with our lives – excluding Amy and James!! ~ Traci Gerber

None of this would be possible without the generosity, support & love given by ALL our Foundation sponsors and donors. We are so very grateful and thankful for helping us with our partner schools, KES and Parktown High School for Girls to nurture our future leaders.

Together we are changing lives & making a difference.
