The Bold. The Beautiful. The Strong. The Inner Goddess.
This month, we celebrate the flavours, layers, strength and sweetness that define the incredible women around us.
And in true TAG (Travel Assignment Group) style ~ we’re doing it differently…
✨ Our TAG ladies have each drawn the name of a colleague & leading up to our ‘Cake Picnic Women’s Month Celebration’, we’ll be sharing their descriptions of that special person, as a cake, tart, biscuit or dessert that best represents them
Why? Because women are like desserts:
Layered. Diverse. Rich in story. Full of flavour. Sometimes surprising. Always delightful.
Grab your cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy the Official Opening of our TAG Tart Editions – full of personality, celebration and fun!
Debbie Van Heerden describes ➡️ Pauline Collinson
Pauline – Granadilla Fridge Tart
A firm favourite — and for good reason. Pauline is our Granadilla Fridge Tart:
With a structured biscuit base, she’s the one who holds things together when everything else feels like it’s melting. Solid, dependable and always keeping things grounded – in layers, of course.
Her creamy centre? Smooth, composed and usually calm… until she needs to turn up the zest!
And that zesty granadilla twist? That’s her sharp wit and bubbly humour, bringing lightness and energy into even the most serious moments. She adds a burst of brightness that lingers.
Like any good fridge tart, she’s chilled, refreshingly herself and unapologetically set in her ways – in the very best way.
Steph Ledoaba describes ➡️ Kefilwe Mamashela
Kefilwe – A Real Treat
If she were a dessert, she’d be malva pudding ~ rich, golden and comforting from the very first bite.
Just like this classic favourite, Kefilwe brings warmth wherever she goes – her presence is sweet, soothing and always leaves you feeling a little better than before. She’s the kind of person who melts hearts, lifts moods and fills a room with that soft, joyful glow you only get from something truly special.
Warm, sweet and quietly irresistible, Kefilwe is a real treat in every way
~ a dessert for the soul, served with kindness, humility and heart.
August is a time for:
Sharing stories
Celebrating sisterhood
Embracing the sweet joy of homemade love
Travel that delights & excites
And of course…eating dessert first.

TAG July Moments: Connection, Collaboration & Celebrations!
Can you believe how fast this year is flying by? One blink and we’re already more than halfway through 2025. As we wrap up the financial year, it’s a moment to pause and reflect – not just on the big milestones, but also on the quiet wins that matter just as much.
This month reminded us that life moves quickly, even when we feel like we’re standing still. From Taggers celebrating milestone birthdays (because every birthday is a privilege), to valued suppliers and partners popping in with fresh updates, tools and exciting news – July was rich with moments of real connection.
We celebrated new clients coming onboard and placing their trust in TAG to handle all their travel needs. We navigated flight delays, cancellations, and those unpredictable travel “hiccups”—all in a day’s work. Because let’s be honest, in travel, smooth journeys are our goal, but adaptability is our superpower.
Over on the TAG Foundation front, we witnessed our young stars shine in the classroom, on the field and on global stages. Medal wins, academic excellence, world championships, team selections and life lessons from games both won and lost. Every step, every story, every effort counts. We are so proud of the momentum and spirit in this incredible tribe.
Our community keeps growing. Our hearts keep stretching. And our vision remains rooted in impact, purpose and people.
Whether your July was full of growth, or one where just getting through was enough—you made it. And that matters more than anything.
“Believe in your vision, even when others can’t see it. Your belief is the seed of your future success.”
You never know what tomorrow, this month, or this next chapter holds—it could bring the clarity, peace, and momentum you’ve been working for. That’s the beauty of the unknown. And here at TAG (Travel Assignment Group), our “known” is service, partnerships and a relentless pursuit of excellence in all we do.
So, here’s to July—Grateful, Glowing and Geared-Up.
Let’s fuel up, hit full throttle and take flight into August!

✍️ Monday Motivation: Pens, Partnerships & Purpose
At TAG (Travel Assignment Group), we know that travel is a team sport and our partnerships are what fuel our excellence, spark new opportunities and help us go further, together.
Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming fastjet Megan Wilson & Bathi Jwaaie to TAG HQ — bringing with them energy, insight and a bold yellow pen (a sunny reminder that sometimes the smallest touches speak volumes).
Hot Off the Press: New Route Alert!
Fastjet Zimbabwe, the award-winning airline, has officially announced a new domestic route launching:
Bulawayo to Victoria Falls
️ Starting Friday, 08 August 2025
Operates: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
️ Fleet: Comfortable, efficient Embraer jets
This is more than just a route – it’s a connector of people, places and purpose. A celebration of Zimbabwe’s rich tourism potential and manufacturing power. An outcome of collaboration, research and thoughtful engagement in our ever-evolving industry.
As July draws to a close (how fast did this month fly?!), here’s your TAG Tip for the Week: Master the Power of the Pen:
Write what matters.
Draw from personal experience.
Be honest.
Be patient, persistent & consistent.
Use it to connect, appreciate & uplift.
Take a moment this week to pen a quick note of appreciation ~ to a supplier, a client, a mentor or teammate who makes your world better. In travel and in life, partnerships matter. To our industry partners, like Fastjet – thank you for the trust, alignment and drive to keep improving the experience for our travellers. Together, we build better.
✨ Travel Togetherness — Together We Fly
Let’s inspire. Let’s collaborate. Let’s keep writing this beautiful journey.

Every Stroke Counts | Swim for Change | TAG Foundation
Not all heroes wear capes…
Some wear speedos, brave icy waters and swim across the English Channel in September — all to change lives through education.
This is no ordinary swim.
This is 34 km of cold, unforgiving waters.
This is navigating one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
This is mental grit, physical courage and a heart filled with purpose.
And this is the extraordinary challenge accepted by Simon Wilkins, a man with a cause far greater than himself.
Gratitude. Admiration. Awe.
Simon and Natalie have stood beside our TAG Foundation for years — loyal supporters, quiet changemakers and true believers in our mission. Their generosity, commitment and faith in our young scholars have helped us go further, dream bigger and build a brighter tomorrow.
We are deeply moved and honoured that Simon has chosen to take on this epic personal challenge in support of our Foundation.
“We should certainly count our blessings, but we should also make our blessings count.”
~ Neal A. Maxwell
Why This Matters:
In a world that can often feel chaotic, Simon reminds us that hope swims stronger. With each stroke, he’s cutting through the noise, replacing despair with possibility.
Every kilometre brings us closer to another King Edward VII School TAG Foundation Scholarship recipient empowered, another life changed, another ripple in a sea of transformation.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Let’s rally behind Simon. Let’s back every stroke with purpose.
Pledge an amount per kilometre swum
Donate towards the campaign
Share Simon’s story far and wide
One Swim. One Future. Every Stroke Counts.
Simon, we are in awe of you. Thank you for backing our mission — for being a lighthouse of hope and a true champion of what it means to give back. We’ll be cheering for every stroke, every tide, every moment.
Let’s go, Taggers!
Let’s make waves — together.

Every Kilometre Counts.
This September, I’ll attempt to swim across the English Channel, a 34km journey through freezing water, strong tides, and one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
But I’m not doing it for a medal or a record.
I’m doing it to raise funds for the TAG Foundation, a South African charity that provides full bursaries and mentorship to boys from underprivileged backgrounds , giving them the opportunity to attend King Edward VII School and change the course of their lives.
Every kilometre I swim will help fund a child’s future.
I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider pledging a small amount per kilometre – even R10/km makes a difference. All pledges will only be collected after the swim, once my final distance is confirmed.
Help me turn this challenge into something meaningful.
Let’s swim for education. Let’s swim for change.

✈️ Friday Chuckle Vibes
“Me, going on a trip to literally anywhere:
‘Should I move here?’
Come on… who else is like this? One breakfast croissant in Paris and you’re checking apartment listings. One sunset in Paternoster and you’re mentally drafting your resignation letter. Travel does that — it unlocks the “what ifs” and “why nots” in the best possible way.
Reflect. Breathe. Laugh a little.
As the week wraps up —
✔ Tasks ticked off
✔ Tiny wins stacked
✔ Lessons learned
✔ Coffee consumed
✔ Dreams postponed (just till Monday )
Take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come and then let it go for the weekend. You’ve earned your downtime, your rest, your next adventure.
hashtag#PassportStampTheory
Every stamp in your passport isn’t just a place…
It’s a yes.
✅ Yes to discomfort
✅ Yes to detours
✅ Yes to being the outsider
Because the goal was never just new places…
It was becoming someone brave enough to go.
So wherever your weekend takes you.
✨ Home, road trip, or faraway escape ~
May you carry lighthearted joy, belly laughs and a wide-open spirit.
The world is waiting. Go be brave. Thank YOU for trusting TAG (Travel Assignment Group) to take you there.

This September, Simon Wilkins, Galetti’s MD of Corporate Services, will attempt to swim across The English Channel – a 36-kilometre feat through icy, unpredictable waters with no assistance and no turning back.
Every kilometre Simon swims will help fund education for students through The Tag Foundation – a South African charity that provides full bursaries and long-term mentorship to talented young boys from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them the chance to attend King Edward VII School.
Pledge an amount per kilometre swum (e.g. R10, R50, R100/km).
Pledges will only be collected after the swim, once Simon’s final distance is confirmed.

Mandela Day 2025 – A Heartfelt Thank You from the TAG Foundation
On this meaningful Mandela Day, we pause with deep appreciation and immense gratitude to thank you ~ our loyal sponsors, generous donors, steadfast friends and extended TAG family.
Because of your belief in our mission, 65 exceptional young people — 50 fine young men at King Edward VII School and 15 dynamic young women at Parktown High School for Girls – are pursuing their dreams through quality education. Supporting these future leaders is not only a privilege, it’s a purpose we carry with pride and unwavering resolve.
The Power of Community
Our TAG Foundation community continues to inspire us – not just today, but every day. You remind us that giving back, showing kindness and choosing hope over despair isn’t just possible — it’s powerful.
Our scholarship recipients — past and present — are the hope, the light, the dreamers and doers who prove that with opportunity and support, anything is possible. They are becoming change-makers, world-shakers and leaders of tomorrow.
To Our Partner Schools
To the remarkable leadership, staff, teachers, coaches, and parents of KES King Edward VII School (KES) and Parktown High School for Girls — thank you. You create not only institutions of excellence, but safe harbours of calm, growth and knowledge for young people navigating personal challenges and complex journeys. Your partnership means everything.
✨ What We’ve Built, Together!
From humble beginnings, the TAG Foundation has grown into a movement for good built on the backs of those who dared to believe in something bigger than themselves. As Jonathan Gerber, so powerfully says:
“We’ve grown from a small charitable foundation into a powerful force for good, made possible by an engaged community, committed schools and the brilliance of these young people. This is not just our story ~ this is the story of what South Africa can and should be.”
From the bottom of our hearts – thank you. Your support means the world.
Want to Learn More or Get Involved?
Join us in this movement of hope through education. If you’d like to know more or get involved, feel free to reach out to Senzo Mkhize, James Gerber, Joelene Roberts, Stephanie Grimbeek, Jonny or Traci.
Together, we are proof that:
“Community is the foundation of success.”
Happy Mandela Day, Taggers.
Let’s keep doing good, together.
